Superior Seafood, Sourced Responsibly

ULTCO is a specialty seafood company focused on responsible, traceable, and high quality offerings.

Our mission is to connect our customers to superior products from partners who share our commitment to unrivaled quality, a sustainable value chain, and responsible fishing & farming practices.
WHO WE ARE

Not all seafood is created equal

Our fishermen are leaders in responsible harvesting practices and employ methods to deliver a fresh from the ocean experience.

Our farmers are pioneers of responsible aquaculture, steeped in generations of family farming and utmost care of the local ecosystems they farm in. All of our farmers raise their fish in cold, clear waters with GMO-Free feeds and without antibiotics.

Our processing facilities bring next generation technology to all stages of farming, harvesting and processing. These include state of the art land-based hatcheries, technology enabled aqua farms, and processing plants certified to the highest food safety standards.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE

Responsible sourcing is the future of our industry, and ULTCO is at the forefront.

Our team vets farmers, fishermen and production facilities directly at the source, and all products come from third party-certified sustainable aqua farms and fisheries. ULTCO partners invest in innovative technology and facilities that optimize the supply chain and combat industry-wide challenges.

A Commitment to Quality & Certification

ULTCO is a proud funding member of Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) and maintains ASC & MSC Chain of Custody Certification and utilizes Trace Register for traceability from origin to customer. Our fishermen and farmers maintain rigorous certifications including AquaGAP, Global GAP, ASC and MSC.

Our state-of-the-art processing partners are all Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Certified (BRC/IFS), meet HACCP requirements for Quality Management & Food Safety, and Socially Audited.

  • We’re all in this together
As the world’s population continues to grow, so too will the demand for healthy and affordable protein. Currently, Americans consume an average of 16 pounds of seafood per year, in contrast to more than 100 pounds each of chicken and beef. Yet research shows that diets rich in seafood and lower in red meat consumption produce healthier outcomes. Aqua farming is the most resource efficient way to raise animal protein, while livestock contributes to an estimated 14.5% of global carbon emissions.
